Everyone has an opinion on the potential automotive big three bail out package in the US, as this issue is just as important here in Canada. Should they or shouldn’t they? I’ve been on the fence. While I admit would probably never buy another car by any of these companies (I love my Toyota), I can see what a devastating impact the loss of any or all of these companies would have on our already uncertain economy. The more I read about this, the more sympathy I had for these ailing corporations, and especially for the communities that would suffer from their demise.

But then this turned up in the news today:
Big Three auto CEOs flew private jets to ask for taxpayer money

If this wasn’t such a serious issue it would actually be funny. Seriously though, did they let go of their PR departments already?

Even the American government, an organization well known for squandering taxpayer money, called them on this.

Thanks to this boneheaded move, we the public, are reminded about the ignorance and mismanaging that lead to their current predicament.
